The NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway was put on hold due to rain on the 2.5-mile superspeedway.
NASCAR has updated its timeline for Friday’s event, which is set to begin soon (always Eastern time).
9:45pm – Drivers start preparing for the race – put on their firefighting suits and start heading to the Xfinity Series garage.
10:15pm – Drivers climb into their cars in the Xfinity Series garage. The team will make final adjustments with the driver in the car.
10:30pm – Drivers drive their cars to pit road and line up in 2 lines on pit road starting from pit out.
The driver will turn off the engine and remain in the vehicle for prayers and national anthems. Shortly after the national anthem, NASCAR takes command and moves on to racing.
Bad weather early on Friday washed out qualifying for tonight’s Wawa 250, forcing NASCAR to set the starting lineup according to the rulebook.

AJ Allmendinger, runner-up at Watkins Glen International on Aug. 20, will lead the field to the green flag alongside Noah Gragson as the event begins. He won another Superspeedway win earlier this season at Talladega Superspeedway in April.
