A strong non-conference matchup for the start of the 2022 NFL season.
The Kansas City Chiefs head to the desert for their Week 1 showdown with the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Sunday at 4:25 PM ET.
The Kansas City Chiefs, who won their sixth straight AFC West title, started life without the run-of-the-mill superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was traded to Miami in the offseason. But the good news is that Patrick Mahomes is still in town and with him the Chiefs are expected to do great things – they now have the third-best odds of winning the Super Bowl on FOX Bet. low to
The Arizona Cardinals started 2021 with a 10-2 record in the first 12 games of the season. From that point on, the Cardinals got worse. Not only were they in flames, but rumors were swirling about Kyler Murray’s future and his eventual contract. I rely on Murray for

FOX Sports Betting Analyst Jeff Schwartz:
I’m not in the habit of betting on road favorites near touchdowns often, so I’m going to play the Chiefs in the teaser leg. The Chiefs are going to win this game. First of all, there are coaches, quarterbacks, offensive and defensive lines. After a disappointing 2021 season, they’re a motivated group.
Andy Reed also had a stellar performance in the Chiefs’ opening weekend, winning all but one contest in his nine seasons with the Chiefs.
Arizona has a lot of players who are influential in reporting injuries. Additionally, DeAndre Hopkins has missed his first six weeks of the season. Kyler Murray got off to a fast start every season as quarterback for the Cardinals, but struggled without Hopkins before waning in the second half. The Chiefs’ defense is young and fast this season. We’ll find out this weekend.
