Total precipitation should be 0.5 inches or less for at least the next few days. Temperatures will be normal for Wednesday morning, with lows in the 60s and lows in the 70s on Wednesday morning, rising to the high 80s in the afternoon. Atlanta’s forecast high for Wednesday is 87 degrees, perfect for this time of year.
Deon expects a similar pattern of rain on Thursday. That will change on Friday when the tropical humidity surge returns, she said.
According to the latest forecast, heavy rain is possible for most parts of Northern Georgia on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is the wettest of the weekend, with an 80% chance of showers or storms.
“There will be a little more rain in the next few days,” Deon said.
